Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan

Here is the music part of this blog.
These guys are great entertainment!
Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan, Strawberry Music festival, 8-31-90.
Soundboard, FM feed, 1st generation tape.

This is from a tape I have had for years. This is feel good music with a sense of humor.
Two guys playing Tin Pan Alley blues music. It's acoustic guitar and harmonica. The percussionist Jody Huelets, is playing a cardboard box, Jack Daniel Gift carton.
Love songs like "How can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away" and social protest songs like "Who Drank My Beer?" make this a fun listen.
If you like what you hear. They often play at a place called the Cold Springs Tavern. It's 20 miles outside of Santa Barbara, in the San Marcos Pass out in the middle of nowhere. It's an old historic structure built in 1860 and was a stage coach stop. Now its a tavern with a great restaurant and fantastic atmosphere. These guys play outside in front of the place under the trees. They have been doing it for years. I saw them there more than 15 years ago. On their web site http://www.bassharp.com/tomball.htm they still are booked to play their often. Its a great experience and the music ain't bad either.
