Jethro Tull, 8-20-91 and 7-24-92

Here are two Jethro Tull radio broadcasts. The first is from a radio studio to promote the release of the album Catfish Rising. This one is very crisp and clean sounding but only 30 minutes. The second one is also a radio broadcast of a live concert at a music festival in Switzerland. The sound is not quite as good but from less than a year latter. Together they fit on one CD and are a good representation of the band from this time period.

Jethro Tull 8-16-70

I have had a tape of this since the mid 80s that came from WXRT radio Chicago. This source I think is from another earlier broadcast of the same show. I always thought it was a pretty good example of early Jethro Tull.

This Jethro Tull recording is from a German radio broadcast The sound is very good. It came with some German DJ chatter at the start and in the middle that I edited out. I haven't seen this on many blogs.

Ian Anderson is sick for this performance so his vocals are not in top form. But he still pulls off a good show. There is a recording of this show PRRP054 that is around stating it is a soundboard that came from a road crew member. Well this is not that recording. In fact I believe this sounds far superior to that.

Early Jethro Tull at it's best. Just found this at Boot-Tull-Legs. I love Jethro Tull and this one has great sound quality. I guess there was an early show and late show. Nothing was said about this on the cover.
